Our buyers aren't active on LinkedIn - will this still work?
Yes. It doesn't matter if your buyers are active on LinkedIn. What matters is that your buyers want to research you and understand your technology, your team, and what you stand for.
Yes. It doesn't matter if your buyers are active on LinkedIn.
What matters: Your buyers want to research you and understand your technology, your team, and what you stand for.
Here's what actually happens:
Buyers today look for any signal to determine:
- Is this a fit?
- Can I trust these people?
- Should I even take a meeting?
How do they research? They Google your name. They look up your CEO. They check out your team.
Where do they land? On LinkedIn profiles. Even if they're not "active" LinkedIn users.
Why? Because LinkedIn profiles show up on the first page of Google search results 99% of the time. It's the default source of professional information.
LinkedIn knows this and loves this. Even passive LinkedIn users have profiles that get viewed constantly by people doing research.
So even if your buyers:
- Never post on LinkedIn
- Don't engage with content
- Aren't "LinkedIn people"
They still end up on LinkedIn when they're researching you. And Mavin tracks that behavior.
When this doesn't work: If your buyers literally never research who they're buying from and make decisions with zero due diligence on the people/company. (This is rare in B2B, especially for high-value purchases.)
